"Compelling visual content for social media use."
Zero, a lighting brand, needed compelling visual content for their Curve Cluster XL fixture to be used across social media channels. The deliverable required both an animated video and a series of still images, all aligned with their established design identity.
The process began with a thorough study of Zero's visual language, examining their material palette, spatial preferences, and how they typically present their products in context. A CAD model of the Curve Cluster XL was provided but some additions were needed for final touches, before being brought into Blender for texturing and scene construction. Substance Painter was used to achieve the warm copper finish and the subtle frosted quality of the glass globes that define the fixture.
The central challenge was lighting. A fixture that is itself a light source demands that both the emitted light and the ambient environment feel physically believable and aesthetically deliberate. Balancing the glow of the globes against a richly textured interior required extensive iteration, with each adjustment to the fixture's output affecting the entire scene in ways that had to be carefully managed.
The final deliverable consisted of a set of still images and an animated video, produced within a three week timeline. The results gave Zero a suite of polished, on-brand assets ready for immediate use across their social media platforms.
